Meet Our Leadership

Del and Cindy share a deep commitment to serving God and helping others grow in their faith. Del was born and raised in Montana as the son of an evangelist and church planter, and has spent decades in ministry across multiple states. After earning his degree in ministry from Ozark Christian College and Platte Valley Bible College (now Summit Christian College), he served in a variety of roles including youth ministry, church leadership, and community outreach, as well as working with the Juvenile Probation Department in Great Falls, Montana. He later spent 27 years in Indiana serving established churches and supporting various para-church and civic organizations. After the loss of his first wife, Sherri, in 2015, Del returned west to continue ministry and serve on the Board of Trustees for Summit Christian College. In 2019, he married Cindy, reconnecting with a longtime friend from their college years. Cindy brings a heart of service and a wealth of experience to their ministry together. After studying at Platte Valley Bible College, she remained in the Scottsbluff, Nebraska area where she served in local churches while working in the business community. She later became co-owner of Moneywise Office Supply, which she successfully operated for 20 years before retiring in 2021. Since marrying Del, she has embraced her role in ministry, using her organizational strengths and business insight to support and strengthen their work. Together, Del and Cindy are passionate about building relationships, encouraging others, and creating a welcoming church environment where people can encounter Christ and grow in their faith. Del is especially grateful for his three children and eleven grandchildren, and his prayer is that their legacy of faith continues for generations to come.

Slade and Lynnette Bumgardner both come from a strong legacy of faith, farming, and family. Each was raised in a Christian home on farms where generations of their families farmed and ranched, shaping their values of hard work, hospitality, and trust in the Lord. They have been married since 2013 and are blessed with eleven children. Together they enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and welcoming others onto their porch and into their home. Their heart for people and community is a central part of who they are. In late 2024, the Bumgardners stepped away from the church they had been attending after sensing God was calling them into something new. After more than a year of prayer and fasting, they felt led to help serve and support the vision of Crossroads Christian Church and were excited to become part of the leadership team. Slade works as a locomotive engineer for BNSF and is also involved in several entrepreneurial pursuits. Lynnette leads the Women’s and Children’s Ministries at Crossroads Christian Church while also serving actively within the foster care community, volunteering in local schools, and caring faithfully for her family and home. Together, Slade and Lynnette are passionate about seeing lives changed through the Gospel and are excited to see how God will continue using Crossroads Christian Church to impact Miles City and the surrounding area for Christ.

Darin and Ottey Ekkelkamp both grew up in Mount Vernon, Washington, and are proud graduates of Mount Vernon Christian School, where they first met and attended high school together. Their years there played an important role in shaping their faith, as they participated in weekly chapel services and were surrounded by a school community grounded in God’s Word. Darin was raised in the First Christian Reformed Church and grew up enjoying hunting and fishing, while Ottey was raised in the Lutheran church and spent much of her childhood helping on her family’s farm. Those experiences helped shape their values, love for family, and appreciation for faith-centered community. The two were married in 2020 and have since been blessed with three children. Family and faith are at the center of their lives, and they are passionate about raising their children to know and love the Lord. Darin and Ottey feel deeply called to be part of Crossroads Christian Church and are excited to grow alongside their church family, serve others, and continue strengthening their walk with Christ. They are grateful for the opportunity to help build a welcoming community where people can encounter God’s love and grow in their faith together.
